Can't Flash hitachi 47

Hey guys, I've tried to flash my hitachi drive and when i typed the dos command it, it begins the flash until it says it cant do it, giving me three possible issues:
1 Make sure drive is connected to the pc
2 This drive isnt flashable
3 forgot.

Im sure i havent bricked it cos it runs normal games properly.

I tried various xbins firmware and all gave the same problem.

Could it be related to the fact that my xbox 360 is a UK spec?

Any ideas guys?

it's a hitachi 47DJ.

I think I may have found a solution, another forum reckons it's due to it not being in modeB regardless of the fact that it takes two presses of the eject button to get the disc tray to open.

Something about pressing the eject button few times during the windows loading up screen on the pc.

I can't try this yet until later 'cos I used my friends pc.
