Can't FTP to Xbox / When chip disabled, screen says "Your Xbox needs service."

I finally got the chip to work. Now I can't connect to my computer with it.

x2.6 lite, xbox version 1.0, FlashBIOS 3.0.1

I'm able to get the Xbox on the network. When I connect to it via FTP, it connects, and then disconnects. It says the server forcibly closed the connection.

In addition to that, when I switch the chip off to load the normal xbox bios, it loads the intro screen, then goes to a screen that says "Your xbox needs service." Is that normal? Does that go away when I take the chip out?

What error number do you get with the chip off?

It sounds like you don't have a dashboard installed. Is this a new drive? The X2 bios does not have an FTP server, so you need to boot with software that does, like Avalaunch.
