So i got everything installed and i got into flashbios. I then went to enable network flashing, and gave ot tje EvoX bin file. It started flashing, went through the yellow and green bars and turned off, like normal. But now when i'm trying to restart, it turns on, and then turns right off, and then back on again, and then off again. It does this 3 times, and then the power button starts blinking red and green (and nothing but black on the screen). What's goin on?

What are you flashing to the chip exactly?
If it's an X3, you should be using the X3 BIOS.
Finally, what version Xbox have you got?

I've got a 1.6
I have the X3 bios, and i didn't know i had to use that one. I flashed it w/ EvoX's .bin file. Is there a way to reflash it w/ FlashBios, or am i f**ked?

Now i need to do the bios.
Ive been sent all over the place to find the files.
I think i got the correct ones, and installed it, i put it in the xbox and it flashed it complete and turn'd off
Then when i turned it on, it turns on then off then on again.
and the cd tray button flashes red then green the red etc....
could some expert private message me to talk me though it.

Yes Yes, I also had the same problem while trying to install an X3 chip into my cousins xbox(which is a 1.6, not sure if 1.6b or the norm). The xbox went though the exact same process that you are explaining. But I may have found out why it screwed up or not. I think I flashed it with the wrong bios. When i downloaded my the bios files it gave me two options 1)X3 3294 v16plus.bin and 2)X3 3294.bin, naturally thinking the the (plus) bios were some homebrew type addon-extra whatever bios i went with the standard X3 3294.bin bios. After flashing the bios with a cd-rw (because I couldnt flash though network, another story don't ask) the same thing happend to me. The only way to get back to bios screen, or for that matter, any screen that doesn't boot up the normal xbox animation then sends you to the dreded error #16 screen, was to hit the eject/power 256k backup bios solution (which i dont know if it is working correctly because the led is only a mix of purple and blue for 2 seconds after booting up, then back to stable blue) and was not succesful on flashing the bios again when i tried the only 256k bios that i knew EvoX M8 1.6 plus bios. Now I can't get it to flash at all and am sitting here with a dud xbox that is my cousin's. I did read somwhere that xbox 1.6b's have a problem with the 3.01 bios and should send the chip back so they can be reflashed with the 3.03 bios. Please help. I'm looking like a jackass in front of my poor cousin. Thanks.

Yep - just boot from another bank which still has FlashBIOS on it, set the switches accordingly and flash the X3 BIOS. There are guides to follow for this stuff!samxm said:
