Cant get back to orig xbox dash???

I selected reboot with chip diabled in x3, and I get a screen with a bunch of Jap text and says to contact microsoft??? I havent tried to play live or anything, any Ideas, all my orig xbox files in c:/ seem to be there, and x3 is config to boot to c?? help!!!

UPDATE! It was error 13, I figured it out, somehow my xboxdash.xbe got renamed xodash.xbe, I put it back to xboxdash.xbe, and it boots fine. Thanks for the ideas though

Mine has normaly been the hdd not being locked.

so, do I lock the hard drive from within x3 live? Then reboot with disabled mod? with the hard drive locked will I be able to get back into x3 live to unlock it again?

you can keep it locked, it doesn't hurt anything, probably solve your prolem too

Hitachi Back-Up Question

I am new to the scene of the 360 backup era. I just updated my first gen Hitachi 36 to the new IxXtreme firmware, and i was wondering? Is it worth updating my Drive in the 360 to something like a BenQ or other, so that i may make backups on media other than Verbatim? It is really expensive, and i was not sure if i would be cheaper in the long run with another drive i could use some cheaper media? Any thoughts would be appreciated, also is the Hitachi a good drive overall?

I honestly see no point in updating the drive, especially if it is working fine. You really only want to use verbatim anyway, they are the best.Hitachi is my favorite drive tho, just because it is easy to update and no need for activation disc, (even tho most people are past that if they are using the newest liteon lt fw... ) but yea i would not spend the money on a new drive... just use it till it dies
