TRINITY Cant get CPU key after writing ECC

Hello,

1. I successfully dumped the NAND 2x and they were the same.
2. Then I created ECC and successfully wrote the ECC
3. Soldered in CR4XL

Now when I boot, none of the lights (power or debug) on the CR4XL light up and the console blinks green continuously.

I used the same setup as in the sticky instructions (used the 22 cap).

Can someone help please?

Also, I may have burned the 5V pad on the QSB, but im not sure sure. Its my first soldering job ever :S Maybe that explains why the CR4XL is not getting power? Is there an alternate point I can solder the 5V cable to?

thats some pretty bad soldering , whats the cpu reset (blue wire ) connection look like under the xclamp ?

if you think you have burned the 5v pad, connect the red wire to the one directly to the right of where you have it currently connected

Try connecting the red wire directly to this point

and make sure it's connected to the board really well

ins0mniac, ultimate360,

Thanks for the tip.

I have connected to the point that you pointed out and now:

1. CR4XL has red power led on
2. The green debug blinks every 5 seconds
3. Front Green light keeps blinking

Still cant get to Xell-Reloaded for CPU key though :(

Do you happen to know what the blinking green debug means?

front green light is blinking because the dvd drive isnt connected,

try with just dip 3 turned on and the rest off, then 3 off and 4 on , it will boot
i would remove the capacitor aswell then add it later if you need to

the dbg light will blink when its trying the glitch

Cut blue, green and yellow wires as short as possible, when you made the ecc did you select cr4 option?

looking at the soldering i would advise he leaves the wires as is and does no more soldering - he burned the 5v pad on the qsb so cutting wire lengths and resoldering is likely going to = a bad time , plus wire length doesnt matter so much with cr4

You do make a good point about having cr4 selected when creating the glitch image

Removed the cap 22. Tried with dip 3 / dip 4 on. Same result.

Where exactly is the CR4 option for ECC in J-Runner? I see it under XeBuild -> Glitch2 -> CR4. Is this the one?
I thought these settings were for after I have gotten the CPU key and I create the XeBuild image that I will write to NAND?

It is that option, and it's for everything concerning CR4. Check it and re-create your ECC from your dump and try again. If dip 3 and 4 doesn't do it for you then try other dips. Also make sure your CR4 are set to slim.

Im rereading the NAND right now again also. Btw, does dash version need to have something selected too?

My original dash is 2.0.12416.0.

Does the DVD drive need to be connected for the glitch to happen?

I really hope you saved your first dumps before, since your overwriting them now. Load the dumps you originally made and do what I said before.

I used the original dumps. Im still getting the same result though. Tried dip 3 and 4 on / off.
You loaded your original dump, selected glirch2 and CR4 before recreating your ECC followed by writing it? Then try different dips.

Loaded original dump, selected glitch2 + CR4, created ECC, and successfully wrote it. CR4 is set to slim.
Tried following dip combinations from the success report forum with 0 / 10 ohm:
1
1, 2
3
3, 4
4
3, 4, 6
3, 4, 7

No go :(

Does the flashing green on CR4 mean that it has connection to all the points or it flashes green always?

Could you try clicking into your jrunner folder into common\ECC\ and loading trinity_cr4.ecc (I think that's the name, something similar at least) and flash that to your nand and try again.

It worked! used trinity_cr4.ecc and dip 3, 4 on. Booted right into XeLL-Reloaded. Many thanks!

Sounds like there might be a bug in J-Runner where it doesn't select CR4? Weird that others havent experienced the same problem though. Im absolutely sure I had Glitch2 + CR4 selected.
