Hi,

I have spent days ready lots of furms trying to understand and get this sorted but to date all I have managed to do is get xell working and have obtained the CPU key.

due to issues with the B1f1 points I decided to use the alternative ones, AUD clamp and dvd tray open configuration.

I have CB version 5761

I have tried using Jtag tool 2.20 and the easy freeboot maker, both unsuccesful! the best i did get was no red lights, no ROL but no video at all, other than that its been e79 everytime.

do i need to be on dashboard 7371? as I am currently on an older version, however on using update spy to give me info about the update, its says blows efuse: yes....surley this is bad???

Can somebody please help as I have run oout of ideas now.

many thanks in advance

Sean

You don't have to use dash 7371 but it's recommended. Using the alternative points, install jtag tool 1.74 then download the files in my signature and replace the smc files in jtag tool folder with the ones you downloaded (make sure jtag tool is not running while doing this). Create freeboot 9199 and flash to your console.

If all is ok at that point, dump your working freeboot 9199 dash via flash360. Next you need to use jtag tool v2.12 to create freeboot 12611 dash. Use your dumped 9199 dash as source bin. Once created flash the new image to your console using flash360.

Cause so far we found that using your dumped working 9199 dash creates a stable 12611 dash when used as a source image and it works 100% all the time.

ok thanks, stil a little confused though,

If I Create freeboot 9199 and flash to my console, why would i need to dump working freeboot 9199 dash via flash360?? sorry if Im being stupid!
Its a part of the process that is known to work without any problem. That's why manwithoutname mentioned it.

ok done what was suggested above, (copied files from smc folder to jtag tool smc folder) flashed my console, powers on, tray opens, center light flashes, no output to screen on hdmi or the normal AV cable and then eventually 3 red lights.

Any ideas please?

Do you have any bad blocks in your original NAND? Also making sure you used jtag tool 1.74?

ok, try this first. You know the files you downloaded earlier, flash the falcon.bin (16mb) from the xbins folder. See if that boots xell first and report back.

Either get Team Viewer or let me make a freeboot for you. Which ever you prefer.

Glad you got it working ;)
