Re: samsung to hitachi or benQ

OK have been reading the tutorial and have a few questions... first of all, im using win7 for this. I bought a pci sata card specifically for this, why do I need to remove the drivers? what is ioport32?I specificaly bought a card with the 6421 chipset as I thought it was required. But this may explain why the samsung drive is not detected in the mtkflash tab?? The drive is plugged in to the controller card, xbox is on, but 'no drive detected' Im probably over-thinking it all, i want to understand what im doing.

Re: samsung to hitachi or benQ

Its plugged into the pci sata card I bought. The other 2 onboard sata ports are being used by hdd's, one with win 7 and the other with sidux linux. The sata card is a syba pci ultra ata + serial ata combo controller card with VIA 6421 chipset. RAID is disabled in bios. win 7 auto detected the drivers, and I installed PORT/IO32 per the jungleflasher instructions, but not sure I was supposed to.

Re: samsung to hitachi or benQ

go to the mtk flash tab and on the left under the i/o port open the drop down list and try each port, see if the drive shows up in drive properties, under port properties is the sata card showing

Re: samsung to hitachi or benQ

OK, I'm a dummy, its stock fw, sammy unlock works. I saved the fw file and the key and want to spoof the benq as the samsung. would I choose the samsung as the source and the benQ as the target? and do i copy and paste the samsung key in the target as well?
