So I installed my cr using fibers glitch guide. Everything went according to the guide I can boot xell and retail dash but cant install fsd? if im not mistaken with Rogero's new multi-builder their is no need to install from usb. Please correct me if im wrong. I tried anyway since im kinda stuck at this point.:facepalm: I get one green light when I power on then get right into new dash (14699). Already tried searching but problems I found were not able to boot into retail only xell. I can boot both just not into hacked dash:confused: so if my understanding of the rgh is correct I would just power up console with reg power button (not dvd eject)and should get freestyle dash?

Big ups to fib3r and Rogero!!! Couldnt have got this far without the guide or muti-builder

I used 2 usb flash drives one formatted with the xbox 360 that i put xex menu on to boot xex menu from the retail dash. The second format fat32 then put dashlaunch and freestyle dash on there you will be able to boot both from xex menu also to boot directly to freestyle dash you need to use a program called build.ini it will build a launch.ini that you will need on the root ofyour hdd that will tell dash launch to boot to freestyle dash. once in freestyle dash use file manager to move the launch.ini and freestyle dash to your hdd.

You can also get a xex menu iso and burn it to a disc and boot it from the retail dash if you dont have 2 flash drives

Dude I tried all of these steps and even redid my nandflash.bin and put that on usb with my xenon.elf files. I also reprogrammed my cr again. NO luck! I initially programmed my cr for a Jasper board but found out it has a cb 6752 so I wasn't able to get that one glitched. So I redid all of the wiring to make sure I didn't have any bad connections. Still able to boot xell and retail dash but NOT able to run xex from usb or cd. Anyone have any idea what I might be missing.

I am searching for a post that said something about counting the # of F's on the xell screen and editing a certain file (don't know which one). I can't seem to find it but will keep looking. I would greatly appreciate if someone could give me some ideas or links to posts to try to resolve my issue. Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I used the latest multi builder v.07 and I can boot both into xell with eject and reg dash with power button. Already tried usb and cd to get xex to run and nothing.:facepalm:

Try these steps and it should work. It has worked a countless amount of time for me.

Use the Xexmenu iso and burn it to a cd.

Run it from the disc drive and install to Hdd at location(Copy all data in the Content folder of the disc.):

"hdd:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000"

you should now beable to run Xexmenu from the games library. If you can't just keep running it from the disc.

Copy (Newest)Dash Launch and FSD to formatted fat32 flashdrive (I have 2 flashdrives that will not work on any xbox360 and 1 that does, so try other flashdrives if one of yours does not work. That also goes for using rawflash.).

Create a launch.ini file that looks like this:

[QuickLaunchButtons]
BUT_X = Usb:\ hdd:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000
Default = Hdd:\Freestyle\Freestyledash.xex
[Settings]
nxemini = true
pingpatch = true
livestrong = false

Place the ini file on the usb drive in the Dash launch installer folder with the Dashlaunch Default XEX file.
Change the name of FSDs default xex file to “Frestyledash.xex” on the usb and connect to the 360.

Launch Xexmenu.
In Xexmenu navigate to the usb drive and run the dashlaunch installer. And follow the instruction. Shutdown the 360 and unplug it for 30 seconds. Plug it back in and boot up.
Launch Xexmenu again.

Connect 360 to your network.
FTP into the ip assigned while in Xexmenu.
Create a folder on the root of Hdd called “Hdd:\Freestyle\” and in that folder place the contents of the FSD directory on the usb drive.
Reboot the 360 and Freestyle dash should load.

I hope it works for you, let me know if it does or doesn't.

Dan,

You don't have to do ANY of that. In fact, CREATING a launch.ini will get you in all kinds of bother.

Give me 5 mins and I'll upload a full release which you just need to extract to the root of a USB stick or internal HDD.

if you create launch.ini in notepad for instance, it introduces characters which really shouldn't be there.

You should take the sample launch.ini and edit that to suit, THEN rename to launch.ini.

Here you go:

Provided you installed with Dashlaunch patches, this will work. REMEMBER TO LOOK AT THE README!

Great upload. Thanks.

You still have to get Xexmenu to run first so you can copy it to the hdd.
No you don't!

Just keep a copy of the files on another location on your USB stick and copy them to the HDD within File Manager in FSD.
