Can't get it to flash, HELP

Ok, I ordered a Xecuter 2.6 CE chip and it came yesterday. My friend came over so we could install it in his v1.0 xbox.

We did the wire install, double checked it, and put it all back together. Booted it up and got the FlashBIOS 3.0.3 screen. I installed my harddrive from my xbox (already modded) so i could just do a flash from hard drive. It went through the motions, had the loading bar and shut off when it was done. But i booted back up and it had the FlashBIOS still. I tried it again with no difference. I switched over to the Network Flash option and still no change.

So I took the mod out, used the motherboard from my parts xbox (tested WORKING, also a v1.0), put the mod in there and tried it again. And I got the SAME problem.

And now I can't boot from Bank1 anymore, it tries to boot 3 times then FRAGs.

I'm no n00b to electronics either, I'm going to nationals for an Electronics Technology competition next month, but I don't know what else to do with this.

UPDATE: Ok, I tried to flash it with Evox 2.6 v1.0 and it FRAGged on Bank1, so I put it on Bank2 and flashed it with x2_4975_256k and it took it.

One problem, that DOWNGRADED it, so now on Bank1 i have FlashBIOS 3.0.1 and on Bank2 I have FlashBIOS 3.0.3. So now i know the chip CAN be flashed, but WHY CAN'T I PUT EVOX ON IT.

UPDATE: I didn't notice this before, but when it DOES flash back to FlashBIOS 3.0.1, it fails to boot the first time. When I hit the power button it starts to boot then stops, then it boots fine. I thought it was just glitching but this is consistent.

Have the switch set to bank 2 and turn on the Xbox and you should see flashbios 3.03. Now before you flash it set the switch to bank 1 and then flash it using X2-5035.

UPDATE: i got a really old version of evox, and i loaded that up, it boots into the M$ dash now even when the chips enabled... but it can boot from my evox boot disk.

I'm using the hard drive from MY modded xbox so it should have the evox dash on there... i don't get it

Where did you put EvolutionX? Look at your x2 config file and see where the bios is looking for a dashboard. If the bios can't find a dash, it loads the Microsoft one.

where did i put it? on the hdd you mean? its in C:\evoxdash.xbe.

right now from what i can see, is that it HAS and evox bios on it, a very old one. it WILL boot from my original boot disk that i made months ago when upgrading MY hdd. That doesn't help much because it only has 'add new hdd, ms dash, and reboot' as options.

how can i get a newer version of evox on here now ?

flash with x2 5035 bios 512k
x2 5035 v1.0 to v1.5 xboxs
x2 5035 v16 plus for v1.6 v1.6b xboxs
to update your dash use a diffrent dash evox 2.6 is the lates evox
use avalanuch or better yet XBMC
to do this use auto installer deluxe 3 to install new dash

evox 2.6 is a dash
evox m8 is a bios
both old and out dated

^^^ Actually, if you want to get picky, Evox is the bois, EvolutionX is the dashboard.
