What am I doing wrong ??

I tryed a lot off differend thinks to flash it all
Or I get the green xbox led to blink constantly
Or with another flash the ring of dead , when I flash another it keeps blinking green again ?

The Nand is good I think ( dumpt it 10 times 9 are the same )

I flashed the nand-X with the arm.hex and its whitout errors ( did it 3 times now )
I flashed the Coolrunner with the Falcon.xsvf files
No errors

I made the ecc file with Jtag tool and flashed it , no errors.
I also flashed the same file with nandpro 3.0 by hand and with no errors

Every time the ecc file is loaded the xbox turned on directly ? is that normal ?

I only see the red led on the coolrunner and no green one

I hope somebody can point me in the right direction.

Thks
Fred

1. check your soldering!
2. Generate ECC with 360 multibuilder or python method
3. How did you confirm, your coolrunner is properly programmed?

It's obvious that your nand reading/writing process has something wrong.

It`s 100% the wiring . Check the point next to the hana . and the one under the CPU . Make 100% sure they aren`t shorting , if the chip isnt glitching (green light flashing on the chip) it`s definately the wiring . Post a pic that will be helpful . Also make sure the chip is switched to "norm" and "phat/slim" depending on the console . I guarentee it`s the wiring as the software works 100% and i`ll say the chips work in every console i`ve tried them in except zephyrs are a bit tempremental.

Go check that wiring mate i`d bet my house it`s where the problem lies ! Take the 2 off i mentioned . Clean the points up . USE FLUX !! and put them back CAREFULLY they may look ok with the naked eye but the margin for error is almost non exsistant !

Is that a big problem ?
In about 8 hours ( then I'm home ) I am going to solder a new B point ( I think thats the one )

Thks for the reply
A ) I am going to solder a new B point
B ) I generated the ecc file with the jtag tool V0,3 and with 360 multibuilder.
C ) What do you main by confirm ? the jtag tool is doing all the steps and I get no errors.

First it asks to program the coolrunner , no error
Then read nand 1 , read nand 2 , compare , no errors
Then create ecc file , no errors
Then write ecc file , no errors

Xbox will not boot and coolrunner stayed red

It's not always your wiring when your not getting CR green light flash, (Glitching) I've wrote the nand wrong before and I will not get a green flash, after rewriting my nand it was flashing again. So don't rule out a bad write, if you want to see it happen just write your nand back without the hack in it and CR intalled.

I based my reply on the amount of times he`s tried to flash it . You are correct it could be the flash but my money is on the wiring

I cleared my nand and reprogrammed it with the original
Same result the xbox green led is flashing and after 20 s. its 3 red leds
I dump that nand again and compaired it with the nand I saved , no errors .
I flashed the coolrunner again and made a new ecc then I programmed the ecc.
And yes same result Dammmmm.

i never installed a CR before, and i am a noob at soldering, but thats one bad soldering,

you are using different cables from the ones that come, thats a thing, the other thing is they are badly soldered, seriously

Why didn't you use the cables that were provided with the coolrunner? They are the perfect lenght and gauge and they come pre tinned. Like others have said redo your soldering.

The included wires are good, but the cpu_rst wire isn't necessarily the perfect length for slims. I have been playing with it again just now, and it absolutely refuses to glitch at all with the included 50cm blue wire for pad D. When I use a 42cm wire it actually works, booting in 5-10 secs at the moment.

Routing of the wires makes a huge difference to whether the glitch works. I found that when the wire was sitting in certain areas of the motherboard, the coolrunner wouldn't even blink green. Move it 5cm to a different area of the board and it starts trying to glitch.
