I have a v1.6 xbox and an xecuter 3CE modchip. i installed the xapt3r for v1.6x and the modchip and every time i would try to turn on the xbox by quickly pushing the power button the circle in the front would flash green and red. but if i hold the power button the original ms dash loads up fine. all the leds on the modchip lit up (2 blue 1 green/red) and the xlogo on the external switch was always red. so i decided to solder the modchip in instead thinking it might make a difference. but i still have the same problem the only difference is that now on the external switch the blue hd led lights up but still not the LAN led i am stuck. i don't think the soldering is the problem because my dad did it and thats what he does for a living and i had him redo it once. but that doesn't necessarily mean thats not the problem. if anyone can help me i would really appreciate it because it's kinda starting to get on my nerves, oh yeah i also tried multiple banks on the external switch/ bank selector.

This does sound like an install problem. Did you do a wires LPC rebuild or use the PCB? Also, is it a 1.6 or 1.6b?

On a 1.6 u have to tap the pwr button very quickly to enable x3 chip.
It's very sensitive to this...or try pwring up by pressing eject.

If it's still coming up RED X then check your D0 point (grey wire) make sure its attached to the right spot and is a good solder connection.

The LAN led will only light once you have LAN activity on you LAN port..Once u get Flashbios up and flash via http u should some activity then

ok, i tested the voltage on all the pins and every pin was reading as it should except for pin 7. i got .002 when i was supposed to get 3.3v so i desoldered and resoldered pin7 and got the same thing. so i think maybe something might be wrong with the pin is there any way i can jump it from some other pin or somewhere else on the motherboard? any help would be appreciated thanks

Pin 7 is one of the LAD points (LAD 3) that you have to make by doing the LPC rebuild.
Check this wire or the soldering on the LPC rebuild pcb if you used that.

i did the lpc rebuild and i desoldered and resoldered pin 7 which is lad3 and i don't think the soldering is the issue could the pin be damaged?

doubt that its the pin...do you have any photos?
most likely its the small area that the LPC attaches to for this pin...they are fragile.
