Can't get Xecuter 2.6 and Xbox 1.6 to work

I was wondering if anyone here knows what I can do. I've tried to read the "total noob guide to everything", read on forums, but I just don't get it.

I'm really not into this, so I ordered the chip, but I got a friend to solder it for me. I thought I would be able to flash it, and to mount the hd but I guess I was wrong.

When I boot the xbox with the chip enabled, the thing reboots a couple of times, before it stops, showing a light blue screen. The led is flashing red/green. When I boot it with the chip disabled, it locks up with an error 5 message.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

error 5 means that the hd is unlocked.

lock it in flashbios.

if it reboots and then reboots again then the install is incorrect.
