can't load evo X? i have the newest of everything?

hi,
i have a standard xbox v1.2 and X3 with the newest bios installed. i can't get evox to load. my aim is to back up my games on my hardrive (ligit reasons only) but it won't load. it says cd not recognised. i am using a cr-rw and have the newest version of evox calles evo x build 3935? would some be able to tell me what i am doing wrong, and if i will be able to back up my games if i get this installed and how?

ps are there n e easier ways, like using dvd2hdd? what the hell is that, and how do i get it on my box?

That dosn't help me i have the same problem everytime i go to flashfxp evox flashfxp says connection timed out i use the ip it gives me i use a router also

(V.1.0, X3, Build 1959) HELP

yes,
i got it to work. there was something wrong with my ip . flash xp said "no host" or something so i went to the properties on my computer for the network connection and set the ip address to static. this made sure it didn't time out. hope this will help, and thanks for the help. it works. just a quick thing. do EA games load to the hardrive. i am trying to get burnout but it won't load completly

playing backups on slim now

well i have been following on xboxhacker.org on how they have discovered a way to read the keys off the new slim with a program called Tarablinda,,i thought well id give it a try,,so i followed the tut,and low and behold i got the keys from the drive,,first shot,i grabbed one of my 7000 series drives and flashed the keys with LT,didnt even have to spoof,,stuck the drive back in and games on,,all my backups work,,so for those who are impatient like me,and if you have the right hardware,and software,it can be done,http://www.xboxhacker.org/index.php?topic=15629.100,,have fun,,

Not everyone uses their 360's to go online Joe...

I can confirm it is a very simple hack to do - although some of the later firmware revisions of the drive are unable to be dumped.

It is a case of hooking the drive up - running Tarablinda Dump command and you get your dummy/key/inquiry etc...then just flash an old style XBox 360 Drive with the key - and wammo.

no im not lying about what i did,,i did this because i was bored,,and had a few shots of whiskey,to go online would be a dumb thing i know,but this is a good start,,just amazed on how easy it was to get the keys off the drive,
