Cant play xbox1 games on 360.

I just flashed my 360 drive with xtreme53 firmware. I cant play any xbox1 originals or backups on the 360. I have the 360 HDD. Do i need to install the compatibility update from xbox's website. I sthat safe to do? Do i need to do something else? Any help please!
