FIXED cant process update

ok guys i got an old phat given to me with rrod, so ive done the hybrid clamp fix and its up and running on dashboard 2.0.9199.0

i know i could jtag this but i have jtagged slim already and basically wanted to flash the drive on this to go live

ive checked the drive and it had a flashed lite-on so ive returned it to stock to update the dash

but i cant get the dash to update either by wifi or usb and i have tried 3 diff dashes not just the latest all i get is cant process this update if the problem persists etc

now what?

im thinking the lite on is the wrong drive for this phat and if it is how would i go about finding out which drive i should have etc

any advice appreciated

OSIG can be determined through RGH - Perhaps one of the more experienced members can advise if it can be determined in another way. On a side note dash 9199 is not jtaggable

Have u formatted the usb to fat32 making sure u extract any downloaded update to the root of the usb

done everything i can think off formatting , diff dash, clear cache, etc just wont have lol def think its the wrong drive for the xbox but with no history i cant confirm, any sites with around about with dates of new drives found as this xbox dates from the 2nd june 2006

no BL4K3Y mate come as console only and cheers choo the motherboard itself is a xenon so probs is one ya mentioned grrrrrr ha ha the xclamp running sweet to with extra mods just this hurdle to get over

had hard drive attached plus original mem card , tried re installing original dash and any other i can find just after to the latest so its def got to be wrong drive me thinks what a mish he he

yeah m8 its downloads update then says applying update then error message with status code 23EF 4174 1480 2303 C810 1012

could the stock firmware be stopping the update i used orig-74850C-1c000 but there is 4 files altogether a,b,c,e

obviously the error code is saying its trying to update to latest dash 16756. I wud try all the other files individually. If that doesn't work then it cud be the wrong drive model.

easy fix, dump NAND and RGH the console, you will get all OSIG info from NAND

check to see if drive is correct.

if it is, build a new retail NAND for the current dash makeing sure LDV matches.

reflash to console, remove RGH and boot, then update with USB

flash drive when done.

1. Update system to 12625 (using USB drive)
2. Try to update up to 13599 (your LiteOn must NOT be spoofed, it should be recognized as PLDS-DG16D2S) with 7485 firmware

If the update will be successful, flash LT+ 3.0 and go Live.

3. If the update 12625 -> 13599 failed, try to update it with 0251 firmware.
4. If nothing helped, you have to find original drive (maybe, Samsung) for update.

all sorted lads seems it was an issue with my harddrive must be going faulty, hooked up a usb hard drive and bam updated no probs, thanks again for all replies etc much appreciated
