I have modded more than 25 consoles now.

I got that error a LOT during my first few xbox's.

It's NOT the xbox and it's NOT the Nand-x. It's the soldering.

99.9% it's the soldering.

last nitgh i rgh 4 consoles using nand x, this morning i try to do 2 more i cant read nand it keep saying in j runner cant continue what the hell my soldering ,belive me is good so i dont know whats going on i try other cables and nothing please anyone knows what going on or whats the problem?:mad2:

have u Tried plugging the nandx in question back into a "known" good working box like your personal box that u know works 100%, to test if its xbox/nandx it could also be blown spi's but i doubt it if both boxes are brand new, and the fact they happened on 2 boxes makes it not likely

How about this - with the CPU and GPU REMOVED from the board, you should be able to STILL dump the NAND provided the southbridge circuitry is intact. Yes, this is possible as I've done it.

As have i, seeing how the nands paths dont use the cpu/gpu at all it shouldnt b a problem, so as i said in my previous post id check it on a known workin board to tell if its the nandx/xbox

Had the same issue with mine. Replaced it with the same wiring still attached to the board, received the new NandX and all worked.

I've had my new NandX for about a month and guess what...same issue again.

I've never had trouble with any other TX products but there is clearly an issue that is making all of these NandX's not work.

Hopefully you have not flashed your coolrunner while the console is powered up. This will bork your nand-x. (I speak from experience)

Or booted the console with the coolrunner in normal mode and still connected to your nand-x.

I may have done it with my first Nandx but after getting my second I took every step necessary to make the same mistake. I Jtagged two consoles (1 slim, 1 Jasper) and since then I haven't been able to get a Nand read. I bought this Nandx from Xconsoles about a month ago. I know it's under warranty it's just a pain to return it, wait for a new one, not to mention shipping which is almost a 3rd of the cost of the Nandx to begin with.

I'm the last person to trash TX products. They have been easy to use and very lucrative for me but this seems like a real issue that needs addressing.

Every one we get back with this error has had the same cause every time.

Its always down to programming the CoolRunner while it's installed to the Xbox and the switch not being set to prg before the cable is connected.

I don't know what else to tell you.

Where are you? I will be happy to a replace it for you this one time and will cover the shipping.

This I understand. It's how I "borked" my first one. Once I received my 2nd one I was careful not to make the same mistake which Is why I was surprised to find my NandX not working today after a month and having RGHed two consoles with no issues.

I'm in Toronto. (Not sure if you're offer was to me or the thread starter)

just flash the coolrunner first before anything else, presuming you can work out the board revision, and if you cant google it lol,

I am actually having the same problem with one of my nand-x's. But I know the power cable wasn't connected while I flashed the Coolrunner.

How do I get the replacement? Contact Xconsoles?

You also can't read the rules. No thread-jacking. Start a new topic and read up on my NAND-x guide.
