Wow what a video, fun to see someone trying to teach people that cant solder how to do it without the propher tools or equipment. Reminds me of Ben Hecks SMD soldering instructions he did once :p

Thanks for being one of the few to actually have useful info. I did practice for a while but dont have a junk circuit board with points that small (and close) and obviously a QSB is a whole other monster than simply soldering wires on points.

I found an easy way to remove the QSB to try again by just heating and sliding heavy slips of paper underneath it. Ill definitely order some thinner solder and some clear flux - I think that's part of the problem.

I think I got it working. The computer recognized a new drive connected and I could read the nand. I dumped 2 49mb BINS which compared to be the same.
I never saw a memory size associated with the drive in j-runner, It was just blank. I dont know if that matters.

In the j-runner images for corona/coolrunner it says get a "full clean" nand dump. Does that mean I have to select full or are the ones I have fine?

I'm reading the RGH roadmap but ill ask here anyway: Is there anything else I need to do with the nand reader before moving on to installing coolrunner/RGH2?

Thanks.
