I bought a set of xbox 360 consoles and repairing them for use.

When i got the black elite console it had a hitachi 79 (79fl) drive in it spoofed as a liteon 16d2s.

I have loaded it in jungle flasher.

And it shows as a liteon drive. and i went to the hitachi tab and i have it on the right hand side aslo showing as a liteon drive but when it was first connected jungle flasher told me it was a hitachi 78/79 drive.

So i have the firmware original to put on it form the stock pack and i have the key.

When i click restore to stock i get ram upload failed.
When i try to dump the firmware i get ram upload failed.

I will post the jungle flasher log too, I have to manually open the drive tray to get it to go in to mode b. The console drive doesnt eject with in windows or the ck3 pro ect

All i want to do is to be able to replace the laser on it and return it back to stock so it can be used as a spare or for some one else to use it.

Thanks

This should work.

Eject the drive and insert the unlock CD. Leave the tray open.

'Send Mode B' to the drive and the drive should close for you.

From here you should be able to restore it to stock.

If the drive isn't stock, you don't need the unlock cd. Eject tray, power cycle. Mode b and unlocked. Pow

In the case of a spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.

I thought that was only for Mode B. The 79 unlock is a separate action....
