Can't Unlock Hard Drive!!

Hi, I have some old XBOX hard drives that I would like to use in PC's.
I don't have the codes/passwords to unlock them. I have tried to Low Level Format, but to no avail.

Does anyone have any ideas?

If they were locked with configmagic, put them in and xbox and unlock them with configmagic. If not then you have a bunch of paper weights.

You have to put them back in each one of the XBOX they original came from, then you will be able to unlock them... i do not know another way to get them unlockable....

That's also if those xboxes aren't stock, and have a way to unlock a drive.

If they were locked with ConfigMagic, then a program called ATAPWD will unlock them (configmagic sets a master password of TEAMASSEMBLY).

Other than that, as what's already said, except paying $$$ for a recovery firm to do it, the original EEPROM is the ONLY thing which will unlock them.

One more thing to try, I am currently searching for the hard drive firmware to flash the drive. Gonner be very difficult to find, but worth a shot.
