cant update switch? banned?

so i want to update my switch to the latest firmware, i have the latest beta sx os but when i go to download the switch update i get the error a server communication error has occurs. please try again later. i figure the console is perma banned? is there any way to update it offline? i updated the animal crossing and it requires latest switch update

If you look at the first entry in this forum you will find detailed instructions on how to update the Switch firmware off line. It is quite straight forward and I have done it many times. Most important when following through the instructions is to do the nand backup, if anything goes wrong then you can always restore. Good luck
