CD drive problems

Sometimes when I turn on my Xbox 360, the power light just blinks constantly (Trying to eject the dvd drive im guessing) and on the screen the tray icon just says opening, if I press the eject button it will go to closing for a few seconds than opening again. I recently flashed the firmware, but It did this before I had flashed it, I have opened up the cd drive before. Yesterday I managed to fix it by letting it run for a while and then pressing the eject button, then it stoped and worked for the rest of last night, but now it's doing it again. Anyone had this problem and fixed it?

Thanks

Didn't fix my problem, still blinks constantly. I noticed as I was putting it back together there was a rattling noise, so i pulled the motherboard out thinking there was something stuck under the motherboard, but the noise was coming from the motherboard, checked all the wires and stuff like that, nothings hanging off, sounded like it was coming from under the video card heat sink, Worth investigating? I have a MS28 by the way.

I've found that If I unplug it for a while and then plug it in and boot it up, I'll get the e65 error, and the cd drive will open and tries to read disks, but I dont think it gets anywhere, atleast the 0800 dosent seem to do anything. I've tried to detect it in my bios for a reflash, but it keeps coming up blank. Bad flash? And what can I do about it if it is.

Thanks

try the rubberband fix, sounds like the mechanism that open/closes your drive isnt closing the drive all the way. Im guessing the little drive belt is bad.
