CD Rom Not Ejecting

I just finished installed the X3 into my Xbox. I am having a strange problem though. When I plug my Xbox in and press the power button quickly, it boots with the mod chip enabled (as it should), but the CD ROM Just clicks once and the eject button just flashes. At this point I have no video or audio. If I press the Power button and hold it, it boots without the chip enabled and the CD ROM still just clicks once. Then the Eject button just flashes, but I do have video and audio.

I've checked over my work several times. Any suggestions?

yep you need to get a new one now GOOD LUCK maybe you can find a stock one for like 7$

I wouldn't think it would be the CDROM if it won't even boot the BIOS.

I had that before, I forgot what I did but it works now, so it may not be the drive, keep trying stuff. I hope you get it to work as those drives can be expensive.

ok, so im kinda new to the whole softmod scene. Ive, read throught the tutorials here on how to falsh a drive, but keep getting an error with iprep 101 that says : Expected DTD Markup not found Line 5 Position 3. Does anyone know what this means? I need the help please. and thanks.

this page has the tutorial, the program itself you just need to get the firmware from xbins.

ok. How will I know Which firmware I need? Sorry I know its a pain talking to a noob like me but I really have no clue what to look for.

Top right of this page. "Latest firmware", But it may be wise to wait for a while until the new Lt+ firmware comes out.

ok. better question, It tells me I have the f/w rev. 7485. Not the one in the tut. can anyone help me with this? I dont want to have to buy extra stuff to make this work. I dont have a way to get a probe kit or anything and jf keeps telling me that it cant find any com ports.

Read the jungleflasher tutorial! it explains all drives except the new slim!
for a 7 series you either need a probe (there are several types available) with a conectivity kit (again there are several available) OR you can MRA it (again explained in the tutorial!!!!) Several methods to carry out MRA but all work on same principle!

Do some reading!
