I am getting the center red light after flashing flashnand.bin

Xell still boots fine (although I see that it's black screen, my previous xbox slim had blue screen but I don't think that matters...unless it does)

anyway I have attached some pictures of the install. I would be very happy if some1 can point me in the right direction. I had a QSB installed before I thought it was the culprit and tried to go the wired route.

I have tried all that programs that help you create nandflash.bin I have tried more than one method of flashing it. But for some reason nothing seems to make a difference.

Exactly what are you using to build your freeboot image? Have you double checked that the CPU Key used is correct?
How are you flashing it to console via NandX or Xell itself?

The fact that xell is working point to your soldering being fine:) definatley a nand image/ freeboot image issue.

I am using nandx to flash the image.

I used xeBuildGui , freeBOOT toolbox, and 360 Multi Builder.

I doubt it's the key since xeBuildGui grabbed the key stright from Xell through the network.

Maybe I should flash back the original retail again and see if that still works.

Did you not make sure your console booted retail NAND before commencing with the rest of the work?

I have a sticky in this very forum - did you read it?

seems you guys are correct. It looks like I had bad nand dump. I just assumed 3 matching nands can't be be so I never bothered to double check.

I just tried flashing the original nand and I get the red center light :(

anyway to recover from that?

I just wanted to add , my backed up nands seem to be just fine ( in terms of structure..etc), viewed it in a hex editor seems like it's just like any other nand dump. an all the dumps I did match. I am starting to think maybe it's not the nand maybe it's the xbox.
