family friend brought me an xbox to flash. since then just non stop problems only certain backed up games will work in his console like black ops works fine. dead island does not boot period. i replaced laser and i installed to hard drive and it says it cannot start it. la noire also does not work. he purchased this console on ebay back in 08 and his mfr date is 8-22-2006 and its a non hdmi model xbox but he had a liteon drive in it and the mfr date was october 2008 of the drive? Im thinking the xbox was already sent back to microsoft and they mightve swapped out the drives? Would that cause the problems for only certain backed up games allowing to boot. La noire plays loading screens then locks up. this xbox has already been reflowed a couple days ago and it has lt 2.0 and latest dash. all backed up games were also verified in abgx and have no issues playing in my zephyr benq xbox. i cannot figure it out im bashing my head in trying to figure out the problem

1 minute my backup would work then it wouldn’t seems to be all linked to benq drives as my other box is the same my 3rd box has a liteon and they work fine on this
Also seems to be down to me using printable disks if I use these the benq’s have trouble if I use non pintables then they all work fine
Good job I have the originals to re backup ordered some different DL’s as it could have been a dodgy batch of disks and to be fair LIL bandit doesn’t half scratch them lol

im using memorex but i never had a problem with them before i fitted a new laser plus put in another drive that has a new laser that had no problems playing in another xbox. I think it has something to do with it being repaired by ms since its an opus mobo with a liteon drive. even when dead island is installed to the hard drive it says error starting game try reinstalling the game again it didnt say dirty disc error this time
I've checked it numerous times it's coming back to where backup games are having issues mostly black ops works fine so does cod 4 but la noire loads a little bit then freezes on loading screens and dead island won't allow to be booted period the drive isn't spoofed or anything like that. Both drives are doing the same thing and the spare drive put in another Xbox works fine and loads dead island and la noire but not this box. I've replaced about 50 lasers before I checked to make sure it was ok
update now the xbox is not reading any backup discs period with the new laser on it. it goes to a black screen for a couple seconds while loading and says unrecognized disc. and the first startup resulted in e71 but i held down the sync button while powering on and had no problems yet. I am really getting sick of this xbox
