Change Fan Speed

Hiya can anyone tell me how to change the fan speed of my xbox now that I have the xbox fitted.

you need the X3 installed, then go to settings or something, fan speed, then adjust the slider.

I was automatically selecting the first option in x3 live option.

Oh well.

My xbox shouldnt heat up as much now lol

and actually you don't need an x3 to do it, there are loads of modchips that can do it but oh well

I got the orange led with the fan on continously which is obviously telling me the system was overheating.

I have now sticked on the fan to 100% and it seems fine.

Not to worried about the noise becauses its drowned out when you have your sound on loud

depends on the bios, but yes you just have to edit the bios then reflash your chip

Is there a tutorial on that? I used the evoxm8plus_16. The reason I ask is I don't see anything in my settings.

do you have the editor for that bios?

I just looked and I don't. Is that what it is called? If it is I will look for it in xbins.

just look for a bios editor for your bios, i have no clue what it is called but i'm sure it's clearly labled

a good way to cool your xbox is to cut out the little plastic piece between the hard drive and the fan so that the fan can blow through the hard drive area better. I did that and was able to reduce my fan speed to 20% with my 7200 RPM 200GB hard drive. My xbox is even stored in a tight place (in my drawer) while I play halo 2 on XBL for 8+ hours straight and it never overheats.
