spoofed 9 series to 7 series the way braveheart 43 explained

i have a 9 series ive pulled the key but messed up the board. I have a Brand new 7 series so ive took the OFW from 9 series, loaded as source, then loaded ix LT (9 series one) as target, spoof source to target. then erased and writen to the 7 series
but now for some strange reason when i put a disc in , the drive spins very very fast and dosnt slow down and that is with an original disc, ive also tryed another 7 series liteon and im getting the same problem, any ideas?

did it auto load LT or did you load it manually?
try flashing OFW back to the drive see if originals play ok then!

Load OFW as source, then instead of autoloading the LT firmware, select the LT firmware for the knackered drive. Then flash as usual. I had a faulty 7 series liteon and a brand new 8v1 series laying around, so used my OFW from my 7 series and flashed 7 series LT to my 8v1 series drive and everything worked great... But by the look of it, you've already done that. Could it be that the OFW from the 9 series has something wrong with it?

no because ive flashed the ofw to the 7 series now and it plays ok but the fan seems to be working alittle more quicker , so tryed to spoof the other drive with 9 series but manually this time , just got it from xbins and the same happens the drive spins like mad as if its going to take off i was wondering because the pcb board is 7 series wouldent i need to use that rather than 9, i no my drive key is from a 9 so probs not.

Did the 7 series liteon you're trying to flash work properly in the first place? All Liteons are exactly the same, it's just the firmware that differs. Taking the firmware from one liteon then placing into another shouldn't effect is functionality one bit.

Have you tried ixtreme 1.61 or another firmware? If that works, then the problem is with LT. Try downloading it again from another source.

Not really, but if this works without your drive going crazy, then at least you know that it was the LT firmware causing the problem.
