ok here is the deal i had a spare slim drive laying here and a guy wants me to winbond unlock it and sell it to him to replace his wrecked 9504/0272 drive. no problem i thought as it was marked 9504 on the case however i hooked it up to jf and kamikaze'd it there now and ive just realised jf is reporting it as 0225.
im fairly sure i replaced a damaged 0225 drive in a slim last year with a 9504/0272 but i cant remember if i just reflashed it with the other fw or what as obviously spoofing is not supported.
this is a stupid question but im just in off the nightshift and decided to sort this before i went to bed and now my mind has gone blank cos i dont actually get a load of slims round these parts lol, can i just reflash the 0225 drive with stock 0272 fw and his key as the hardwares basically the same is it not?
