RGH Change OSIG

what is the best or easiest way to change the OSIG on a RGH console, my benq is dead, and got a spare samsung. How do i make the OSIG match the samsung drive?

You don't need to. RGH doesn't care about spoofing.

I didn't know that, I will bear that in mind for the future.

Yes, that means you can put a Samsung drive (or any drive) for that matter into your console, providing the drive key matches.

you just matched the key? didnt have to change OSIG? and you are RGH right.

sorry im new to the RGH/JTAG scene since they used to be soo hard to find.

Shouldn't matter anyway - dae.bin/AP25 checks are patched out of RGH/JTAG consoles.

ANY rips. Take an unpatched / wrongly patched backup and it will work in a JTAG/RGH console.

I managed to rip my D1 of RAGE without dae.bin and it worked on my RGH/JTAG consoles but nowhere else.

ANY rips. Take an unpatched / wrongly patched backup and it will work in a JTAG/RGH console.

I managed to rip my D1 of RAGE without dae.bin and it worked on my RGH/JTAG consoles but nowhere else.

Great piece of info as I just picked up RGH console today and I was very unsure what was ok to do. Nice to know I can use old back-ups with zero worry.

Will microsoft pick up on a console I RGH, change the osig of the nand to samsung, and then flash back to stock (minus the osig change)?

Does microsoft check to see / know if the osig is different from stock?

Will they even care if a slim had a "stock samsung" (I'm not sure if they would pick up on this)

I plan on using an xkey so I can spoof any drive easily, spoofing a samsung/hitachi would remove my ap25 problems.

You can't edit the keyvault any more as there's hashing which breaks when you do. It won't work.
