For the 1959 BIOS build, press [down] 4 times, [a] once, [down] once, [a] once, [down] once, [a] once, then restart xbox. It would be nice if Xecuter released a NTSC and a PAL version of the bios so that if you are NTSC and you reset the settings to default you don't have to look up the button sequence. Crazy europeans with their PAL TV's...

btw, use the search button next time.

Oye...less of the European bashing.... Infact, lot's of Europe do not use PAL. The French, for instance, use SECAM.

Anyway, PAL is far better for picture quality than NTSC.

So there!!!

Good advice though!!

how? i thought pal was lower resolution and its about the same framerate.

edit: nm, pal is higher resolution,
720 x 576=PAL
720 x 480=NTSC

NTSC also has problems with colours (NTSC = Never The Same Colour) ... at least on PAL, the colour you see is the same hue/shade/whatever that the show was filmed in.

Who cares - get HDTV and use components ... skip the NTSC thing and go straight digital to digital :)

It is the way the picture is drawn... Basically, PAL (Phase Alternate Lines) was designed to correct the sync problems between picture refresh and the of the AC power supply (This prevents the rolling screen). The way it worked increased the badwidth and made for better picture quality.

Next week we shall learn how Cefax/Teletext information is stored within the picture build up..... Don't miss it..

YAWN!!!!
