changeing HDD

when im changing my original HDD to a WD120JB what do i need to do in the in the start up screen for X3 chip, or nothing and just follow xbox-scene tutorial step by step for changing the hard drive? I'm just asking becuase i dont think the tutorial had the X3 chip in mind and was seeing if there is a faster way with the chip. Thanks, Greg

back up files from old drive.
put new drive in.
format all partitions of the new drive.
put back-up files onto new drive.

optional: lock new drive (allows you to use the M$ dashboard with new drive)
optional: unlock old drive (so you can use it like a normal Hard Drive)

When you format all partitions on the new hard drive does it automatically ask you what LBA48 method to use, or do you have to do it yourself after formatting?

if your doing it all from within the X3's config live program, just go to "setup new hard drive" (or something like that) and it will ask which method to use, and then automatically partition and format.
