I just ordered my X3, I currently have an ICE chip now but I like the new and fresh ideas Team Xecuter has in the makings. My question is,there are two parts of the chip that need to be updated? The OS and the BIOS.
I have the X3_1959 is this the Bios or the OS and how do I update it?

After you have the X3 chip installed, start your xbox and make sure that you have the xbox networked with your computer. It is ffaster/easier to do over network though. After xbox is on, you will see the flashbios screen. Choose the option that says Enable Network Flashing. You should see an IP address in a corner of the TV. Type that IP address into internet explorer and then follow instructions from there. Make sure your switches are set right. For that bios, you probably want the top 2 switches in the ON position, and the others in the OFF position.

Everything you need is in the X3_1959 BIOS. There is no seperate X3 OS.

That is just an updated flash utility for people that already have an X3. Many people don't need to upgrade to that version of flashbios unless they are having problems. I used the flashbios that was already pre-installed in my X3; besides, a new X3 will probably have the newest version of flashbios in it anyway, unless it is old stock.

FlashBIOS 3.0.3 is a linux-based (legal) BIOS that allows you to easily flash another BIOS to the chip (via HDD, DVD, CDRW, or HTTP). It also has options to unlock/lock the HDD. It serves no other function...

DLC, avatar clothes, ETC...question..

I find it odd that you must jtag and install the specific loaders xell, etc in order to use DLC..

For instance, I took part in the final fantasy chocobo prize where you win a chocobo for your avatar.

When you receive the prize it says to enter the code via your xbox and download.

When you jump on the xbox to download it says are you sure, you can only download this once and for one xbox only.

I have 2 xbox's.. one banned, one not. I jumped on my unbanned xbox downloaded the chocobo.

Ive copied it to my banned/crippled HDD on my banned xbox and it works. Shows up when you view your avatar and can use it....

I have copied this file to many HDD and will have it work, no problem.

My questions are...Are there some DLC's that are designed to work on any xbox straight from microsoft?

If so, is there a list of these DLC? that work without jtag?

And Most if not all DLC is ID 000000000000 so there is nothing that links the DLC to Xbox per the actual file you download (dlc) correct?

Could there be a file on the xbox that is updated with a list of purchased DLC after it is installed hence why copied DLC doesnt work because this file does not get updated??

But how could i copy this avatar DLC to any HDD?

I basically was able to copy this avatar prize and have it work on any HDD that i have copied it to. So, either there are DLC that work regardless of XBOX..or i just got really lucky?

Ideas?
