Cheating on Halo2 on xbox live

I was just wondering how people are doing this using modded boxes. I don't want to and in fact, I don't even play live. I have a friend at work who told me he was playing Saturday night, and two guys with tags modded1 and modded2 joined their game. My friends team were all killed with in a matter of seconds, mostly head shots. The assault rifle was hitting them about 40 times per shot and the perpetraters were able to "warp" around the screen and not even get touched (they were a blur). Modded1 had 42 out of 50 kills. My friend also said they had ghosts on Zanzabar and from what he tells me there are no ghosts on Zanzabar. My friend reported them to Bungie or whatever you do and cursed them profusely, though they also were in awe.
My question is how? Are they "super hackers" with like unlimited money, eeproms and hdds or are they figuring a way around it or were they banned afterwards never to return again?

All I've heard is that there are tons of Halo hacks... because of the way the game is ported through xbox live or something... you can pretty much do anything.

I also heard that there's nothing that anyone can do about it and reporting it to Bungie is pretty much a waste of time.

But, I'd like to see what cheats are out there... morbid curiostiy I guess.

You get alot on Nexbc too. I just scrap the game if anyones cheating. Gets boring when the turds can't beat you fair & square. The mods are pretty cool tho' High jumps and flying trucks.

Its only the downloaded maps really, and since they are on the hard drive you can edit them and get them to work, there are certain things you have to do to get them to work. There are a couple people that can get the diskmaps on live. Usually has to do with DVD swapping and what not

Ive modded about a dozen maps on halo2 and they are pretty cool. I also added a pelican you can fly in coagulation and zanzabar. I just didn't know how these guys were getting away with it on live.

Ghosts are available on Zanzibar...
"super hackers", i think not.
Its really easy to mod halo2 now, even the average noob with reading capabilities can do it. Mods on live are getting old now, everyone knows about it, nobody really cares unless u get taken out by a headshot through a wall.
People who get banned just turn up on halo2 the next day and do it all over again. Its sad really that the only way they can have fun is to ruin other peoples fun games.
