Checking Temperature

I installed a new chip yesterday in a 1.6. So after flashing and complete installation I checked the temperature…guess what: nothing.
On my own box I’ve got it all working.
Now I’m wondering if I broke something or not? I did not check the temperature before installation, so I don’t know if it was already broken.
Anyone with same experience?

i read in many places the 1.6 and 1.6b boxes have something against temperature and u cant check it.

im having a premod delivered tomorrow, ill check on that temperature thing.

Config Live

If it would be anywhere, it would be in the config live screen...It should be on the home screen of config live...If you have a dash loaded and boot right to it, then just hold the white button on start up and you should have a temp displayed on the home screen.....??? Mine does v1.0 though...

alot of people have said their v1.6 xbox's don't read the temp properly(usually reads higher then actually is. i don't have any experience with this cuz my xbox isn't 1.6 but thats just what i've heard.

this XBOX is a little tricky with the temperature info and handling....

I just softmodded a 1.6 and yeah, the temp check is way off. For some reason it changes after playing a game. First it is lower than normal, then it's higher than normal. I'd just ignore it, xboxes are generally good about temp anyways.

1.6 xbox does NOT have a temp sensor... it has been said long long long time ago...

lol you could always just cut a hole on the side of ur xbox and pop a thermometer inside
