Chip disabled problem

I have just installed my 6th x3 chip for a friend and I have a problem with it. Everything is installed properly, but it will only boot with the mod disabled. I swapped out this chip with my X3 and with my X3 in my friend's box everything works fine. I put the (possibly bad) X3 from my friends box in mine and I get the same problems.

I beleive that somehow the chip is broken. Like I said this isn't my first install and the box did work with my x3 chip in it.

The front panel switch boots up with the logo in RED. It starts up to the M$ dashboard. Everything works like the mod is not installed. I know it is properly installed because it boots properly with another x3 chip installed.

Same thing. I also tried booting up to the backup and I still get the M$ dashboard and mod disabled indication on the front panel switch.

but you say it all works fine with the other x3?

ok - it's possible that the d0/lan/hdd connector isn't plugged in correctly into the chip.

If you're 100% sure it is and it still isn't working, then it's pretty likely be the chip!

I took the chip that I beleive to be bad and installed it in my system (that was working with my X3) same result.... mod disabled red led on the front panel switch.

It's probably a switch connection issue or something. Either way, I think there's definitely something not right with it!

You can always try and force it on. Solder a 6in wire to the d0 point and hold the other (bare) end to the chassis (or an earth point on the board) and boot the Xbox. It will override the d0 hdd lan wire and any pressing of the power/eject button.

I will give this a try, but I bought another chip just in case so this box will be under the Tree on Christmas.

This will just test the X3 is def working - it's not a long-term fix as you'll need the ability to turn it off, yes?

Well, I am not sure if the person that is getting the box will have the "NEED" to disable the mod. But since it is for someone else, it would be nice to work fully.

Thanks for all the info.

Update do IxtremeLt+ drive lite-on 74850c

Hi guys
First I 'am brazilian, and sorry for any English error.

I have a xbox360 and my drive is a Lite-on 74850C, and I'd like to update my firmware to Ixtreme Lt+, but at Jungleflasher tutorial that is needed a hardware called Xecuter CK3 Pro...
There are other mean to update without this hardware?
I want to know if I can plug Xbox drive directly to Sata pc port.

Thanks

No, you need a connectivity kit/probe to unlock and flash the Liteon V73 sorry.

If you have the files from the original dump , then you can just use the xbox as a power source.

No, you need a ck3 and ck3 probe to flash a lite-on 74850c drive. If the drive was previously flashed and you still have the original dump/firmware then you can do it.
