Hi,

When i attach the external switch cable to the chip (with or without the external switch attached) the box doesn't start.
Only the blue led goes on for 2 sec. but then nothing.
I've checked the cable and it looks fine also the pins on the chip are fine.

Anybody an idea?

DVD drive hack question

Hi I am new to this whole thing, and was wondering about what this is exactly. I want to be able to play backups of my games at home, plain and simple. Just the other day i tilted my xbox over by accident and it scratched up my brand new Call of Duty Black Ops disc that I had just paid 60 bucks for. Anyways what is the process of this? Can this be detected on xbox live? I dont mind getting a modchip if it makes my life easier, money is not really that critical I just hate buying games over and it really gets upsetting. I have a core model xbox 360 believe manufacturing date was in 06 or 07, it doesn't have hdmi because it was the first model built. Theres the samsung drive in it, and a xenon processor. Any help or a tutorial would be great, and it needs to be undetectable on live because even if I put in the original disc to go on live, I don't want it to screw me over and ban me. Thanks alot.

Re: DVD drive hack question

Blazerboy, the process really isnt that hard. as long as you have a sata import on your computer you can do it. especially samsung. they are quite easy, as far as i know there is no such thing as a mod chip for xbox 360.

K so basically I can't get the drive to connect to my computer. I have no clue why, I have tried everything and its not showing up, what is a sata import that you are talking about? Im plugging the sata in directly to the motherboard

Re: DVD drive hack question

once again, read the jungleflasher tutorial

the drive will only be detected in Jungleflasher, not in windows

Re: DVD drive hack question

What is the correct process of hooking it up, when am i supposed to turn the drive on? I know i have to disable the driver authenticator. What about having the drive half way out? Etc

Re: DVD drive hack question

The steps I have done are, boot up the xbox drive, boot up the pc f8 till i get to disable the signature for drivers. Start it up, booted up dot flash, it hanged for a second, a pop up showed up and now its just saying "SendingMTKVendor Intro to port 0x01F0....Status 0x51 and fluctuating between 0x51 and 0x50.

Re: DVD drive hack question

Ok i will be completely honest and say I have no idea what I did but it worked. I flashed my drive to the iXtreme Lite Touch and now I need to know what is the process of backing up my games? What software do I need, how do I do it, and what products do I need to buy? maybe another disk drive, some dvd discs?

Re: DVD drive hack question

If you download the latest Jungleflasher from the download section, there is a folder that has the latest Jungleflasher tutorial and another document that will tell you what hardware and software you need to update firmware, make backups from originals, and burn backups to discs.
