CHIP EARSED (INCLUDING BACKUP)

Ya i have one quick question. how do i freaking save my chip ? It worked great i loved this chip i had it for about 5 months or more idk point is that just the other day i messed up the bios by putting linux on it so i went to reflash the bios, i used flash x and it said full chip earsed and then after it was earsed it was half way into reflashing then it froze. after rebooting it does the infamous fragging!!! it even does this when i hold in the button to diasable the modchip and when i try to go to 256k backup it just frags still. HELP PLZ I LOVED THIS CHIP I DONT WANNA LOSE IT (escpecially now that i learn i can still play halo 2 over the internet with xbconnect and still have the chip installed) P.S. the xbox works when i unplugg the modchipp completly

I can't explain why your backup isn't working, but the only way to flash the backup is through X3CL. FlashX won't erase the backup.

Did your backup work before your current problem?

yup, but then of course, i did throw around my xbox alot because i was missing a part (which i got now, samsung dvd drive) , i had the xbox stashed in my closet so maybe a pinheader came loose? but i dont think that that would disable the 256k backup would it? (so what i'm saying is yes it did work, then i stored it in closet where it got moved around and stuff, then i never tried it until now)
