chip not working

I've installed my x3 chip, and am confident with all my soldering etc. but when i turn on the box with chip on it just loads a blank screen.
then when i turn on in safe mode it loads the flubber screen then says "contact adviser" in loadsa different languages.
please help. :?

I'm quite sure its a 1.4
there isnt any error number. just the screen saying "service required, contact adviser." after the flubber intro comes and goes (safe mode)

i can still get the load bios options from the backup, when i press power and eject.
its dodgy, cause sometimes when i turn it on with chip enabled for the first time in a while i hear the sound from the flubber screen, but still see a blank black screen. then nothin else happens!

please help, i'm gettin a bit worried bout it all now.

ok noob here, for those of you who have not played a wwe game, you can create your own wrestler, then they made it possible to trade created wrestlers with friends or anyone you wanted, that created wrestler was now yours and you could edit it to your liking, now here it is 2010 and thq has blocked us from editing created wrestlers that we have downloaded from others even friends, now i have read that there is a way to unblock them by changing the hex i have installed hex editor nero and a few others but to no avail, no clue what to look for , if anyone has a clue on what i could do that would be awesome! thanx and sorry for being a noob

I googled this and found your question on another board, as his reply said you'll need to take the saved character you've downloaded E.G: Undertaker Phantom Edition or whatever and run that through hex editor.

im guessing you put the edited file back on your mem stick\hdd and play the game.
