check for continuity from d0 on underside to x3 board when the little plug is plugged in. I had a broken plug on mine, had to solder grey wire directly to x3.

is it completely dead?

Hi all, got a xbox 360 that doesnt boot at all.
I have took it apart and the Board looks new, Had everything in tact, so it hadn't been opened before me.

My power unit works because its my main one I use. I plug it into the xbox 360, press the Power button and Nothing. Its like pressing the button without the power lead in, Nothing spins, No lights nothing. Even the orange light on power unit dont blink or change. I have checked all USB ports all all are fine, everything on this board looks great, just wont boot :(

can you help me pls. Thanks

Re: is it completely dead?

maybe the switch on the RF board is shot try using a new one or hook a wired controller up to is and try turning it on with that.

Re: is it completely dead?

I had one the other day exactly the same that came for repair.
The owner had messed about with the controller ports on the front and had bent all the pins. Two of the pins were touching causing the xbox not to power up at all. Fiddled about for 5 mins made sure no pins were touching each other and Hey presto working xbox 360. He had damaged the ports beyond repair though so now can only use a wireless pad but thats better than a dead xbox hey.
