3.02 will work fine as long as the ram chip Are'nt Hynix. You will have to rebuild the lpc. X3 bios 1959 is the latest and most stable so far.

will "orig47" Do?

hi there, I have a hit-47 with old firmware on it and no hit-OFW but in my firmware folder for my drive there was a "orig47.bin" so I used this and flashed back to stock, then reflashed to 1.51 so new games could work... But what I need know will I be able use the "orig47.bin" to flash to LT when it comes out? Does "orig47" return to my Real stock? because i been told if my Drive not on stock LT wont work...

If not i have another drive that as hit-OFW but the Lens dont like Coped games, If I had flash this with LT I've seen Lens on Ebay cheap, is it hard replace Lens? Because i need take it off the metal trace, looks hard :(

Re: will "orig47" Do?

its easy. look in the tutorials and youll find a tut on replacing hitchi laser. and the orig47 will return to stock. it basically unflashes it.

Re: will "orig47" Do?

hehe thanks, Just watched afew tutorials, pritty sure I can replace a laser now, but wont need to is that will restore it to original firmware because the other Xbox 360 that doesn't play Copies I use to play online cus it plays original perfectly, so ill keep how it is and my flashed 360, ill return to stock and flash with LT..

Don't suppose anyone know when LT comes out for the HIT drive?

Re: will "orig47" Do?

It's not essential to have your 'own' hitachi original firmware in order to upgrade or reflash any firmware to it. As long as it is the correct rom version, then you are good to go, the key sector of the drive firmware is untouched during the restore/flash process, this is why a generic original firmware use is possible.
What is essential is that you 'restore' to original firmware before you flash hacked firmware to the drive. Hitachi's are flashed in a 'live' state using windows api, what this means is that you are flashing it whilst the drive is present and detected in windows as a hardware device, this is unlike any other 360 drive and is potentially more risky as a result.
The need to restore to stock before flashing hacked firmware has always been the case with hitachi drives, this is not because you are upgrading to LT or whatever, it has to be done regardless.
Jungleflasher has been coded to be the safest method for flashing hitachi's, for one, it won't allow you to flash ixtreme over ixtreme (it forces restore and reminds you of such via popup) and it also has a flash stability test as part of the flashing process, this involves flashing one singular sector to the drive and doing a read-back and compare, if there is any error or a chance of bad flash, jungleflasher aborts! Hundreds if not thousands of hitachi's have been saved from brick as a result I bet (via, hitachi and winapi are not friendly with each other for alot of people, remove drivers for via card and use portio option for restore/flash)
If you download the ixtreme v1.51 for hitachi pack, you get it all, all hacked firmware for all rom versions and all original firmware for all drives too, so you can restore then flash from the one pack. I would also add that hitachi drives handle the video partition a little differently to all other 360 drives, so at this point in time iXtreme v1.51 for hitachi boots all 360 games, regardless of wave (4,5,6 etc)
Hope that explains a little what you needed to know, I apologize for the post length but it was necessary!

Re: will "orig47" Do?

WOW, truly amazing reply, thanks so much mate :) a lot of your time must have been put in that post for me and Now I fully understand :).. Thanks

one thing i dont understand is why do people say Hit are the hardest drives flash? I have only flashed a hit drive so i dont know how complicated flashing other drives are but what I have read in Flashing drives.pdf and Jungleflasher.pdf they both read that other drives need Half open tray, and without CK3 you have take power from drive via power lead on drive.. where the Hit you simply put into mode B, open jungleflasher and done, it does everything for you.. I am hoping to flash a Benq, or other then a Hit drive soon, but it does seem to me they are alot harder flash from what I read lol.

Thanks again for your reply :) i cannot explain how grateful I am :)

Re: will "orig47" Do?

I also want to thank you prankster because I've been trying to find this information online I couldn't find it. I got an xbox from a friend and the sound and video wouldn't show up. I was able to fix that with the 3 red ring fix and then I tried to flash it and everything said sucessfull but it will only play movies, I'm getting the to play this disk put it in an Xbox error. I even restored the file but that didn't work.
It didn't look like anyone messes with it the past. The xbox was made 2006 and the drive says 2006 so I'm guessing its the correct drive. Could it be a weak laser? Would a weak laser still allow you to play DVD without a problem? Thanks

Re: will "orig47" Do?

if you havent got the right key then your screwed. if the ofw is corrupt then youll have the file but not the correct key. go onto jf and in the firmware tab add your ofw and see if the key looks good. eg. no multiple 0000 or ffff.

Re: will "orig47" Do?

Thanks for the quick reply. I checked and the key looked real. No zeros or F's just a whole bunch of numbers. I have an extra Benq i'm going to try to spoof the drive to make sure it's a bad drive and not bad key. If it's a bad key I would have to Jtag it to get the real key? I know that the dashboard is the old version, the one without the avatar.
