Chipdealer.com = No Bueno

I ordered an X3 from chipdealer.com on Nov. 17th and still have not recieved it yet!! I am so pissed off right now i don't know what to do. The most frustrating part is that they are not even responding to my e-mails that i have been sending them asking about where my product is. WORST customer service and flat out worst online store on the internet. Just thought I'd like to let all of you know to look elsewhere when ordering a modchip!!!

Where i live we still use US Mail which is slow as hell btw, and not some instant teleport system like you are obviously expecting. I will admit that over 2 weeks is SLIGHTLY on the slow side BUT C'MON ITS THE HOLIDAYS IDIOT! Busiest time of the year!!!!!!!!!!!

get on IRC EFnet and go to channel #chipdealer....talk to whatnot, he can straighten it all out...btw if u paid through paypal to shawnspaypal or sumthin like that, youre not going to get your chip, call your credit card and dispute the charge. thats what i was told to do

chipdealer has always been good to me. I would take the previous advice about talking to them with IRC. They will get you taken care of.

i still say system-mods is best place to go to for all ur modding needs. i got my chip the very next day after it was shipped. it went from texas to ontario in 1 day, thats pretty amazing.

I am not sure if I am out of place also by saying this is not the place to advertise for your friends. I am sure system-mods, chipdealer and all the other resellers have there pros and cons.

All I was pointing out is I had good luck with them. Three or four orders, Fast and nice to work with. If some one is having trouble, I'll tell them the place I had the best luck with so they can give that place a try if they want next time.

umm...get over yourself. btw, chipdealer really doesn't hold a candle to anyone, let alone system-mods, i mean when you compare next day shipping to not getting a shipment at all, the comparison isn't that hard to make

I was not saying I prefer chipdealer or system-mods all I was trying to get at was the fact that this is not the proper place for these posts. I understand if you have had a good experience with someone you would want to share that. I am all for people sharing info like that. I am just saying to make sure and do it in the proper location in these forums.

I ordered on the same day and got mines yesterday. They said they had a problem with the chips or sumthin to that effect.

Wasn't there a recall for BIOS issues that effected chip distribution to dealers? ... seem to recall something to thawt effect in the forums.

How to replace 74850c drive question

Does anyone have any links to a guide on how to replace LiteOn 74850c drives? I got the key, dummy, serial, etc off of the original drive.

However, I'm having a hard time finding instructions on how to flash that new info on to the replacement drive so it works in my XBox.

it like flashing a normal drive get drive in vendor> load dummy > auto load LT1.1> spoof source > ...... follow the standard jungleflasher tutorial and you will have no problems what so ever

I don't know what my problem is. Here are some steps of what I've done so maybe someone can help.

I successfully probed the dummy off and checked multiple times for matching key. So that probably isn't it.

I then put the new drive in to the original XBox. It's connected with the SATA cable to my desktop VIA card and powered by its own cord.

I then put the new drive in vendor mode and open up JF 0.1.73.

Then under the FirmWareTool 32 tab I click the open source button and choose the dummy.bin from the donor drive I dumped it from.

Then I choose to autload LT1.1 from the proper folder. Then click the Spoof source button.

It tells me...

Spoofing target
DVD Key already matches
Target is LT - ID strings not copied to target
Serial data already matches
No Calibration data in source

I then shut down my xbox and replace the VIA SATA cable with the one from the xbox motherboard and close JF.

Then I power on the xbox and open the tray and insert original MW2 disc and all it says is "Play DVD" and won't play the game.

What am I doing wrong?

You are trying to spoof a liteon drive to another drive which aint a liteon correct???

NOTE- You CANNOT SPOOF a LiteOn Drive with LT
Firmware as a DIFFERENT DRIVE

That is in the Junglflasher Tutorial which if your spoofing a different drive i.e sammy or benq this CANNOT BE DONE.

It's a LiteOn to a LiteOn. Exactly the same.
