Here is my problem, I have a Samsung M28 drive.

So I have to use extreme boot maker, when I choose the chipset I have the following choices.

VAX347S SCSI Controller
Standard Duel Channel PCI IDE Controller
Primary IDE Channel
Secondary IDE Channel
NVIDIA nForce 590/570/550 Serial ATA Controller
NVIDIA nForce 590/570/550 Serial ATA Controller
NVIDIA nForce 590/570/550 Serial ATA Controller

The only chipset that works is the NVIDIA nForce 590/570/550 Serial ATA Controller

I disconnet a SATA cord from one of my harddrives and plug it into my m28. When I samread, It comes up with a few EXTREME chipsets. I picked one of them and it did not work...

EDIT: I did MSINFO32, found out that NVIDIA nForce 590/570/550 Serial ATA Controller is the chipset on my MOBO and it does work with flash. My question is that there is 3 of them, which one do I pick? When I do samread, what should I see? Where should I connect my SATA cord? Do I need to go into BIOS and enable a extra drive?

None of them will work for a stock MS28 without soldering

You need a VIA 6421A or VIA 6421L PCI Sata card

crap your right....

Just ordered it. Is there a way to use the card when its not hooked up to your MOBO? I hardly have any room to fit this card, I would need to remove one of my Geforce 7800GS video cards : (.

There are some VIA onboard chips as well, but essentially yes the cards that support flashing the MS28 without taking a soldering iron to it are very few. The VIA chips are about the only ones that don't automatically timeout when they don't see any SATA devices connected, which allows you to cycle the power on the 360, get the Samsung to enter a flashing mode for a split second and immediately take advantage of that.

You only need the card in there to make the boot media, then flash the drive. After this you can remove it again, so yes just remove a non essential card temporarily

FYI - you will be best off with the via_raid_v530c.zip driver
