Thanks for the help earlier! I have a new (but related) question now please; I have a Switch (with a successful NAND backup) and have installed a Firmware copy via ChoiDujourNX (exFAT support, software updates without burning fuses, etc) and enabled AutoRCM as recommended. I have read information about shutting down and safely restarting here and here, but is seems to conflict a bit with the issue this user encountered, and I was hoping for some clarification.
I would like a way to shut down my Switch completely, so I can take it only long trips without it always draining battery, then restart it to play when I want to back in the modified firmware (without loading into the unmodified bootloader and burning fuses).
1) What is the easiest way to completely shut down the switch, without access to an external PC or Android device, when running in SXOS with AutoRCM enabled via Choi? Will selecting "power off" from the SXOS bootmenu properly and safely shut the Switch down completely, even with AutoRCM enabled, or will it put it into an RCM/sleep mode? Or would it be better to 'shut down' the system via the switch's menu, wait for it to enter RCM, then hold the power button down?
2) When it is time to turn the Switch back on, what is the easiest and safest way to do so while ensuring no burnt fuses? The third thread implied that turning on the switch from a cold shutdown automatically booted the OFW, which is what I don't want, but he also had AutoRCM disabled, which seems to be the reason. If I leave AutoRCM on, will starting up form a cold boot still automatically and safely use the modified bootloader to bypass the fuse check?
Thank you for your help (and feel free to merge this with my earlier thread if it's a close enough subject to need to be in a single thread),
