cip install problem or Flashbios

hey all,

I have just installed a x3 ce on a 1.6 box. my problem is that when i boot from 1mb bios (on, on ,off,off,off) I get a blacck screen and the eject light goes yellow.

when the chip is disabled the xbox bios runns great!!

this is a unmodified chip i.e . no bois's have been loaded becuase I cant get to chip to see Flashbios.


how do i get my chip to run flahsbios ??????

Are you using the original leads that came with the box?

Try booting from off,on,off,off,off
If it does boot to flashbios then change the switches back to on,on,off,off,off BEFORE YOU FLASH so you don't overwrite your only working copy of flashbios.( you can change the switches with the power on )

Sounds like its a 1.6b..try setting switches to off,on,off,off,off then carefully follow this link.

I get flash bios 3.0.3 to turn up but when I load from dish I get a flahs error "unkonwn Flash"

this is updated with 3293 and a 500mb dummy file using riteck g05 dvd's !!

You're almost there...your problem could be the blank media, are you using a dvd-r? try to flash using network if you can because that's easier and you may also want to use the latest X3 bios (x3_3294v16plus)

unprotect your X3 ..you should have a red light on the chip for flash protect off...then flash

chip protection was off -=- and still no luck flashing via cdrom -=- even tried different media-=-

tried netowrk flahs and it worked the first time !!!!
