LITEON DG-16D2S ck3 kit problems

hi guys been trying to extract dvdkey so i can restore
drive back to ofw to update dash then flash with latest
firmware i have the ck3 kit includeing probes with switch purchase from yourself i'm running xp with a sata card which is 4 port sata pci adaptor chipset VT6421A, i set up jf my drive is half open connect ck3 pro via serial port hit dvdkey32 and getting serial data is bad wot am i doing wrong. been trying to flash now for a few days any hope or guides welcome i would be very gratful cheers guys

So you are using a probe v1 or a probe 2 in probe mode then ?

You cant dump a liteon using R707 if it's flashed anyway, you need a probe 3 (easiest) or probe 2 and MRA it.

If you have all your files you can just flash back to stock without dumping it again anyway.

DO YOU HAVE YOUR FIRMWARE ALREADY FROM PREVIOUS FLASH????

hi thks for your reply when i got my kit on packaging it says probe 111
so do i have the right equipment to do this drive. soz to sound stupid

no i havent got firmare from previous flash. is it possible to read it off the drive
using probe 111

just follow this guide mate http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69805 i know it refers to a usbpro being used but its the same method with the kit you are using.

hi guys notice in the tuts that the ck3 is not connect to serial or usb. as iam not
useing the usbpro how do i set it up do i use the usb lead that came with my kit
and do i need to install any drivers

The USB and COM ports are useless now, you can use a Probe 3 to retrieve the drive key from phat Lite-On drives. Read the JungleFlasher tutorial for more information.

No need to hook up serial or USB. Just hook up sata to the drive and follow the tutorial to retrieve key and flash to stock.

If you look in the tutorial section for your drive there should be tut that does not use the usbpro.
