It's just a power source for your drive. As already stated you need a compatible SATA card or usbpro for the drive to be connected and show on your PC for flashing.
So in answer to your question, No, you cannot flash your drive with the ck3 mini.

The CK3i can't flash a drive either. It just integrates with Jungleflasher to automatically power cycle the drive etc at the required time.

That is a good point you cant flash your drive with a ck3 mini having said that you can not flash your drive without it aswell ck3mini and compatible sata need to work side by side to flash any drive :)

Edit; depending on drive you may also require a probe 3, sputnik probe Kamikaze skills etc. Check what drive you have then reseach that drives requirements simples.

Ok, this is where it gets a little confusing. The usbpro is recommended for all drive flashing as its faultless. I used to use my PC's SATA ports for flashing my BenQ and it worked flawlessly. When I started flashing other drives things weren't so easy. Some would work, others wouldn't. Slim drives don't play well with onboard SATA. So I bought a usbpro, problem solved. If you are flashing lots of drives its a usbpro every time. If your just gonna flash yours when new firmware is released, try the on board SATA and see how you fare, if it works, sorted, if not, invest in the usbpro.
