CK3 PROBE CK3 Pro USB + CK3 Probe V2?

My Xbox was pre-flashed during LT2.0 it was reset in the MS Update that rolled out last year, I have lost the disc that had my DVD Key on due to moving around twice. I still have my old Pro + Probe v2 I saw you can make your own Probe for the current version of LT but I was wondering if I could use my CK3 Pro and the Probe V2 to extract my DVD Key again from the new point on the DVD drive to flash the latest firmware?

Or do I need the new CK3 Probe V3 and a new CK3 Pro?

Your CK3 pro is okay. You just need Probe 3 or homemade PMT, if your 360 had already been flashed with LT fw.

I think it's safer to buy the Probe 3 then another question quick, it looks as if the cables are different from the cables I have for the Probe V2 does the Probe V3 come with all the required cables?

Nar maybe a little 'safer' but not really worth it just convert the probe 2, less wait and money used and your old components won't be wasted talby71 knows his stuff but ultimately its up to you though. Not a really 'risky' task and the cables are the same for all probes, it's drive power cables... :/ just don't probe the wrong point or put the power cable in upside down!!! Dont want anyone frying a perfectly good drive

I was asking mostly because I have lost my old cables... Would I get a set free with the Probe V3 or shall I get a new set?

you get the cables with the switch built in...
all i added to my probe 2 was the switch in the 3.3v wire

probe 3 is £10 plus p&p so hardly spending a lot of cash getting a new probe.

imo id rather pay for the correct tool and get the job done than modify a old probe and maybe the job go tits up!
