I just successfully updated my NAND-X using a USB to TTL programmer since my CK3 drivers aren't working.

Interesting…. Can you provide more detailed information of the steps and brand of cable and a picture if possible? Because I'm very interested in your process, considering this autobaud error has been giving my headaches for almost 2 weeks.

still havent figure this out yet, i know the only possible reason this is happening is either the usb is not recieving enough power or the com port ck3 drivers are not installed correctly, I have given up on it and will delay the rest of my glitch consoles until xconsoles sends me out a v3 flasher.

Im gonna send this cable out to them to have a look and the nandx, cables ect.. aswell it did have the 4 led modification but i know that didnt cause this error becuase we tested a few other nandx flashers on same setup in memory flash.

I used this USB to TTL with these drivers. I cut the DVD power cable header off my CK3 update cable and one end of my pin header cables that came with my TTL. I soldered 3.3v to 3.3v, RXD to RXD, TXD to TXD, and GND and ISP to GND on TTL. Plugged it in and it worked no problem.
I attached pictures below.

I just updated my NAND-X to V3 using CK3 (rev D) with one wire mod. I used a notebook with Win XP.

1) First attempt I got the autobound error
2) Second attempt worked. With Flash Magic all settled, I turned off/on CK3 in a quickly sucession then clicked at start button. Flash Magic shows “Programing” then “Verifying” message without any errors :D
3) Unplugged CK3 & Nand-X then plugged the Nand-X in USB port. The RED (power) and ORANGE (standby) lights turned on indicating it's recognized as a properly device.

In the next days I'll try to dump the nand again from a Phat (already had with the old nand version) but I want be double sure it's OK before programing CoolRuner.

I'll back to tell the results :)

I supposed that you already tried the off+on+start trick with CK3 (this is the way it worked for me). I saw your picture of CK3i and Nand-x and it matches with my connections.

I did the new nand dump with the V3 code on Nand-X and every four .bin files matches, so I programmed the CoolRunner without any problem (maybe beginner's luck) :D

i have tried to flash it with the ck3 pro, i think revC, it would not work on 2 computers with windows 7, i got the error everytime, i just received the wires, and i no they are not faulty, i even solder the wire to pin 1, i did but it took me sometime, and that small resistor or whatever under kind had the top of it break off, its still there, i tried again and i got the same baud error, no difference if i ran it as administrator. i do have a blackcat flash memory programmer, i got it from this site(not trying to advertise, just trying to make sure you guys now which one i got) http://www.embeddedcomputers.net/products/BlackcatUSB/, can i do it with this, if i can how would i, also i have tried change the location of the file, redownload the file(arm file), that has not worked, i have tried multiple different usb slots on both computers, i have tried the on/off thing, it didn't work

This is my story with the Nand-X update to V3. I have the Rev D of CK3 Pro. Soldered the wire. Made my cable, tried updating and no luck(autobaud everytime). When i checked everything i have realised that i made the connections bad. Just like the faulty batch. Then i measured the voltage on the CK3 where the Tx and Rx (blue and yellow wires) were connected wrong and it gave me 12 volts. Also the red and black wires were connected to 5v(not 3.3 like it should normally).
I thought my Nand-X was fried but it is working fine on reading and writing. My guess is that the serial programming part of Nand-X is not functioning due to the Tx and Rx badly connected to the 12v on CK3. This may have happened to users that made their cables wrong or to those who purchased from the faulty batch. I don't know if rewiring the cable would solve the problem. Didn't solve mine.

I got a CK3/CK3i to Nand-X cable (not the faulty batch) and still autobaud error.

Gonna get a new Nand-X. I have the LPT cable for programming my CR. Things work like a charm. Thanks TX for the good products.
