Hi, I just have an xbox. It has hitachi drive, spoofed as liteon, so i get key from hitachi and get a spare liteon drive. Everything went well until i connected ck3i into drive, then the green flash on ck3i turned off and it shows no drive detected. After disconnecting from drive, green flash turns on and works good... can the drive be dead? how can i realise that? drive pcb looks quite good, but maybe someone before me probed that big point right next to the mpx01 point, could that brick the drive? or what is the problem?

After hitting liteon erase, drive shows status 0x80, but then failed to get 0x72
when the drive is inserted into xbox, xbox wont boot, green light flashing, but no dashboard, no error message, nothing...

So it's not a hitachi drive spoofed as a lite-on.

It's a lite-on drive spoofed as a Hitachi.

It sounds like you might have connected the power lead upside-down and shorted something on the drive PCB.

I got 2 drives, drive 1 is hitachi, which was spoofed - I only needed key from it and i got it, i only mention it to demonstrate that before it worked good (ck3i)

drive 2 is liteon which i have troubles with. as originally there was liteon, then because of flash it was spoofed with hitachi (ixtreme 1.51) and now i want to get there another liteon (I dont have original drive), but that liteon wont work.

power lead was connected ok, i flashed hundred xboxes so i´m not total noob. The drive only shows 0x80 as i wrote before and pcb is is very "free" in drive - some plastic pieces that hold pcb are broken there so i think someone before me killed that drive

by the way someone wrote me that dosflash could solve my problem, can you (or someone else) give me some help what to do there? or some link...

edit: i tried dosflash but drive was not recognized (i only have onboard sata)
