Or are you trying to clone the entire Xbox for example CPU Key / DVD Key?
If your talking about drive only you can spoof the DVD Key onto another drive but you may get issues when it comes to updating on live.

Nonono spoofing days are over. Need to only flash the key/firmware onto the same drive that came out.
Ap2.5 drives will accept another ap2.5 drive but you will get issues when going on live.
If a liteon came out of the Xbox a liteon needs to go back in.
If from what I understand you want two drives?
Just read your firmware from your drive and put anoter drive of same model/make into intro and reflash firmware to drive. You will have two drives

Ok I bought a 2006 Xbox with a Samsung ts-h943a drive, it is currently on dashboard 2.0.16202. The guy I bought it from said it was on LT 3.0 but I suspect it is on LT 2.0 As the games he provided me were all XGD2 and even the retail XGD3 discs are not working. Anyway that's going off subject I just wanna know if I can take this disc drive out of my Xbox connect it to the pc and clone the firmware to another Samsung. Also could anyone tell me how easy it is to upgrade to LT 3.0? I have ordered a Liteon ihas124-04 24x is this compatible to burn xgd2 and 3 games?

sammy didnt get lt30,didnt need it,as its not an ap2.5 enabled drive.yes grab info from that sammy,and flash to another.yes that liteon dvd burner is more than capable,get the burnermax payload tool.
edit: lt2.01 is latest sammy cfw btw
ok cool I got the payload tool the other day and my new pc drive will arrive tomorrow. So getting the info/firmware off of the sammy will be compatible putting it on lets say a benq for example? because I wanna get a system that will run xgd3 games. Also I have ordered ck3i mini and I downloaded c4evas LT 3.0 Is this all I need for the job? I am still at the noob stage but am pretty tech savvy and once clear on the process, I wont be pestering the community as much lol

Easiest way would be to act asif you were following the jungleflasher PDF for flashing the Samsung but once you have read the firmware and ready to write just reintro the other Samsung drive and write the firmware to other drive.
Have a read of the jungleflasher PDF guide and you will need a compatible sata chipset too. Via6421 some nforce or x360usbpro v1/2

Also trying to burn dead island riptide with xgd2 settings on imageburn to no avail using imars recommendations any tips would be appreciated. I have a philips dvd8631 non flashed using 1913760 layer break settings
just gets to 50%
