I've got a version 1.0 xbox that appears to have the symptoms refered to as "coma" - when powering up normally, the light remains green, but I get no screen output.
I've installed an X3 in it and flashbios loads fine, but come up with an error about not being able to read the hard disk partition table, and suggests a possible eeprom error.
Flashing a bios works fine, but it still has the same problems when attempting to boot. I've tried various versions of X3 bios, X2 bios and Evox M8 bios, but the results are always the same.
I've also tried using a couple of different methods to reflash the EEPROM, using either a provided eeprom image or an image from another working 1.0 that I've got (lucky eh?!). The flash claims and appears to work, but the problems remain.
I've tried soldering a wire between one of the points that selects the eeprom bank on the mobo, and ground, and tried reflashing that, but again same old problems.
So, what I really want to know is, what can I do/try and what would cause the xbox to be able to boot flashbios, but not anything else?
